Our hotel, Fils Florissants, draws inspiration from Elie Saab's haute couture collection, 'Sacred Source,' which is rooted in the spirit of Beirut. The collection, symbolizing rebirth and renewal, aligns with Beirut's identity as its often called a 'phoenix rising from the ashes.' By deconstructing and abstractly incorporating these dresses into our design, we aim to reflect both the haute couture essence and Beirut's spirit, fusing French and Lebanese culture.The Lebanese designer Elie Saab launched 'Sacred Source,' an exclusive haute couture collection paying tribute to Beirut after the August 4, 2020 explosion. Titled 'Beirut, The Sacred Source,' the line draws inspiration from the city's essence and the renewing energy of nature. Bursting with big-energy dresses, sheer sleeves, extravagantly embroidered gowns, and structured jumpsuits with dramatic capes, the collection captures Beirut's magical spirit through whimsical embellishments like sequins, feathers, and sheer fabrics. Saab released a fashion film dedicated to the collection, showcasing ethereal silhouettes and shimmering adornments that embody the resilience and strength of Beirut. Despite the crisis, Saab designs with the city's vibrant cultural imaginary and rich artistic heritage, unveiling this exclusive haute couture collection as a defiant act of hope in the aftermath of the devastation. This collection has a deep significance for us individuals, emphasizing the idea that even in despair, there is always hope and a path to personal growth.
